The Story of Halcyon

The term halcyon refers to the family of birds commonly known as Kingfishers, which were aptly named for their prowess at catching fish.  In Greek mythology there was an ancient belief that the Kingfishers would build floating nests on the ocean and would calm the seas while they lay their eggs.  Because of this legend,  halcyon has also come to mean marked by peace and prosperity.  This is the experience we would like you to have with Halcyon Homes, as your building contractor.

Halcyon Homes is aptly named to describe the calm and confidence we bring to our clients because we are well prepared, experienced and able to handle potential problems that may arise.  Adding on or renovating is never as simple as we would like it to be and this is why hiring a licensed contractor who understands every aspect of homebuilding is key to a successful project.  Owner, Chris Bates, has been building new homes and renovating houses his entire life.  This is the foundation of  Halcyon Homes; we bring the experience necessary to ensure that when confonted with the messiest of renovations we are always able to leave our clients with the outcome they desire.
